Swimwear
Having flattering swimwear is key to all women’s, and men’s, wardrobe and these days swimwear comes in all number of styles and designs so there is something to fit everyone. Gone are the days when a swimsuit was just a functional swimsuit, they are now as much of a fashion accessory at the swimming pool or the beach then ever before, with all the top designers getting in on the act and designing their own ranges.
In fact you can look as glamorous in your swimwear as you can in your smartest frock and with more celebrities and designers constantly bringing out new collections, this does not look to be changing. Of course, swimwear does still need to have a functional element; it needs to make you look stunning as well as being able to stand-up to salty sea water and chlorine, whilst still making you look fashionable.
Choosing the swimwear correct for you can be hard and for many women the thought of exposing so much flesh is daunting, but it is possible to find something to make you look good and hide any problem areas and make you feel, above all, confident. If getting a tan is important to you then you can even buy swimsuits called Solar Tan Thru which allow you to tan through your suit, just make sure to apply sun cream underneath too.
With so many online retailers offering such a huge variety of swimwear, it is hard to know whether to shop online or in store. The biggest advantage of going to a shop is that you can try on various different styles and colours before you buy, however this is not a particularly appealing idea to many women.
If you do opt for buying online then you need to make sure you work out what your best features are and what you wish to cover up. If you are a little bit nervous then maybe choose a kaftan, a loose fitting top or a sarong to wear over your swimsuit. If you like the idea of a one piece then there are plenty of different styles to choose from, if you have a cleavage then you should go for a lower neck line, if you have shorter legs then a higher legged suit will give the illusion of longer legs. A one piece is also a good choice if you are not brave enough to show off your stomach.
If you’re not a fan of the one piece but still don’t want to show too much then a tankini would be the perfect alternative since this has a longer fitted top which meets with the bikini bottoms. Lastly there is the well-loved bikini. These days the bottoms come in all different shapes and sizes, you can get the standard bikini bottom, hipster style shorts which come lower down, skirted bottoms or shorts. The bikini top comes in styles such as a triangle top or a bandeau top and similarly to the swimsuit can be found in choices including padded, underwired, halter neck and a full cup. There are even many maternity swimsuits available designed to offer support and comfort to expectant mums.
For men there is the Speedo type design, shorts or the more popular and fashionable board shorts, which come down to the knees or below. As for women, many designers and celebrities have been designing stylish swimwear for men so it is just as easy for them to look as good as the women on the beach.
